Common Sense Leadership for La Crosse
Ellie McLoone was born and raised in La Crosse and her family has multigenerational roots here.
Ellie graduated from UW-Madison and taught in Reedsburg for three years. She then spent 25 years in marketing and advertising, including over 8 years as a small business owner working with small businesses and community associations.
Today she is a real estate agent in La Crosse. She is married with three adult children.
Ellie is a local leader active with IrishFest, the La Crosse Realtor Association and Wisconsin Realtor Association, Heritage Preservation Commission, and Bluffside Neighborhood Association. She is also a strong supporter of the Outdoor Recreation Alliance, the Hixon and Gateway trails, and all the hiking and biking opportunities La Crosse offers.
As a realtor, Ellie sees our city's beauty every day. She loves La Crosse and sees the great heights our city can reach if given the right leadership. As mayor, she will focus on basic but essential priorities:
- Addressing homelessness, which includes housing, crime, drugs, mental health, and the cost of living
- Promoting a safer community and supporting law enforcement
- The availability of affordable housing for our citizens, especially young families and senior citizens
- Prioritizing necessary infrastructure like road repairs instead of wish list items
- Providing services our senior citizens rely on
- Supporting our city's robust outdoor recreation opportunities
